If you are registered to vote, you will be able to confirm your address, view sample ballots, find your Election Day polling place, check your party registration, and find out your jurisdictions (which districts you will be voting in for Congress, NC Senate, NC House, Superior Court, Judicial Court, Prosecutorial District, County Commissioner, Municipality, Ward, and School District).

You are eligible to vote in NC if :

  • You are a U.S. citizen
  • You live in the county where you are registering, and have resided there for at least 30 days prior to the date of the election
  • You are at least 18 years old, or will be by the date of the general election
    • 16- and 17-year-olds may preregister to vote
    • 17-year-olds may vote in a primary election if they will be 18 at the time of the general election
  • You are not serving a sentence for a felony conviction, including probation, parole, or post-release supervision
    • If you have completed a felony sentence, including any probation, parole, or post-release supervision, or received a pardon, you are eligible to register and vote. No additional documentation is needed.

You can register to vote or change your address by printing and filling out this form, then mail it to the NC Board of Elections (address on page 2 of the form) or drop it off at your county Board of Elections (addresses on page 3 of the form):
