Whatever your skills, interests, and availability, you can help to push Cannabis Law Reform in NC! Whether you enjoy writing, editing, event planning, database management, website management, or have other skills you want to share, your help is wanted and needed! We have big plans for NC, but are light on hands to execute on all our plans. This is where you come in. Below is a list of areas where more help is needed. Please check it out and contact the appropriate person for whatever appeals to you. We provide training and support, so experience is not required. Not only does it help the movement, but you get the benefit of beefing up your resume and professional experience while you learn and practice new skills and meet kind, fellow activists. Being on the front line and influencing consumer-centric cannabis laws in NC is fun, rewarding, and vitally important!

Minimum Requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 1, 1-hour Google Hangout meeting every 2 weeks
- The will and ability to learn and implement meeting management tools and techniques
- The will and ability to communicate frequently between meetings via Slack and/or email with committee and board members
- Regular follow-up and execution of tasks between meetings
- Use Airtable to document and update action item details and due dates
- A passion for reforming cannabis laws in NC with the consumer/patient at the center
> Event Committee Participant or Lead (4-20 hours per month):
This committee will be integral in planning the largest 420 event NC has ever held
- Facilitate or attend 1 hour meeting every 2 weeks
- Regular follow-up and execution of tasks between meetings
- Lead must attend 1-hour Executive Committee meeting every 2 weeks

> Onboarding Committee Participant or Lead (~5 hours per month):
Call, Text, or Email survey respondents (based on their preference)
Phase 1: Contact people in our database who don’t know NC Rep or Senator
Phase 2: Contact people who have expressed interest in helping with specific tasks
- Lead must attend 1-hour Executive Committee meeting every 2 weeks

> Communications Committee Participant or Lead (2-4 hours per month):
- Draft, Edit, or Create Images for Blogs, 5 Minute Actions, Press Releases, Videos
- Adherence to strategic priorities and a professional image of NC NORML
- Reaching out to media with compliments/constructive criticism when they cover cannabis topics
- Lead must attend 1-hour Executive Committee meeting every 2 weeks, other participants may attend, but are not required to.
- Familiarity with Divi Editor in WordPress is a bonus

> Cannabis Conversations Facilitator (~3 hours per month)
- Attend one 1-hr Comms Committee meeting every 2 weeks
- Propose material (article, video, etc), schedule the conversation, and facilitate it.

> Fundraising and Membership Committee Participant or Lead (~4 hours per month):
- Regular follow-up and execution of tasks between meetings
- Make sure all with a membership are in our email list (Database) and if not, contact them to fill out a form for them.
- Action Network experience highly desired
- Leader must attend 1-hour Executive Committee meeting every 2 weeks, other participants may attend, but are not required to.

> Legislative and Training Committee (~2-5 hours per month)
Develop and implement legislative strategy for the General Assembly and local government, including Resolutions, working with Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, and Municipal Governments
- Tracking legislation, working with lawmakers, etc.
- Training cannabis activists on ways of working with elected and unelected government officials
- Helping constituents build confidence in their regular interactions with leaders
- Create and deliver webinars and other presentations, reference materials, and serve to help with constituent needs
